High Desert employee receives Visionary Award

High Desert prison warden presents Visionary Award to employee.
Warden (A) R. St.v Andre presented AGPA Kristine Juell the recipient of the 2022 GOGI Visionary Award.

Kristine Juell, an Associate Governmental Program Analyst at High Desert State Prison, received the 2022 Getting Out by Going In (GOGI) Visionary Award.

On August 22, High Desert State Prison acting Warden R. St. Andre presented the award.

Because of Juell’s dedication, High Desert State Prison has outperformed all other CDCR institutions according to GOGI’s documented in-cell completions.

Since GOGI’s arrival at HDSP, Juell has coordinated and processed the 5,718 in-cell credits earned by participants of the GOGI program. She’s also coordinated weekly Rehabilitative Achievement Credit (RAC) meetings supervised by self-help sponsors, resulting in thousands of documented RAC hours over the years.

GOGI officials say they are proud to acknowledge High Desert prison’s Juell as the recipient of the GOGI Visionary Award for 2022.

GOGI has been providing positive in-prison programming at the federal, state, and county levels since 2002.
