The Prison Fellowship hosted an Angel Tree workshop on every facility August 16 at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison. Escorted by chaplains, the volunteers discussed how the organization seeks to strengthen families and restore relationships between incarcerated parents, their families and children.

Each child receives a Christmas gift as well as a personal message from their incarcerated parent. A faith-based organization, the group also provides a Bible and an opportunity to hear the gospel.

The volunteers distributed Angel Tree forms at each yard. After the forms are filled out, each child is assigned to a church or organization in their area. The local group purchases and delivers the Christmas gift as well as the message from their incarcerated parent.
