On September 29, the High Desert State Prison Management team hosted their annual staff appreciation day.
Management as well as other staff from CDCR and CCHCS came together to cook food, set up friendly games, and to ensure staff knew how much they are appreciated.
Management teams along with their staff worked on creating 23 opportunity baskets. All staff were given a chance to win a donated prize basket through friendly competitions.
Staff enjoyed food and the recreational games together showing their fun and competitive nature.
Warden R. St. Andre commented with a heartfelt message to all staff:
“First of all I want to thank everyone for their continued dedication to our institution. I greatly appreciate each and every one of you. Over the last couple years we have faced many challenges: COVID-19, staff shortages, and employees performing multiple jobs on top of their own. What impresses me the most is everyone has a no-fail attitude and this makes me proud.”
