High Desert State Prison (HDSP) recently donated $1,722 to support the high school baseball program.

Acting Warden R. St.Andre presented the check to Lassen High School Baseball Boosters. The funds were raised through various donations from staff and the incarcerated population.

“Everyone at HDSP is proud to help and sponsor the local athletic programs in the community, helping the students throughout the year,” according to a statement issued by the institution. “Everyone at High Desert wishes Lassen High School Baseball a great upcoming season.”

Lassen High School Baseball Boosters will use the funds for school events, gear, uniforms and transportation to away games.
