Correctional Officer Gustavo Aguirre-Casas passed away Jan. 14, 2023. After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy in Galt, he reported to High Desert State Prison in November 2018.
He remained at High Desert until his untimely passing.
“Officer Gustavo Aguirre-Casas had great respect from everyone who had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him,” according to a statement issued by High Desert State Prison. “Gustavo was a committed member of the High Desert family, known for his attitude of getting the job done. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. Our deepest condolences are extended to the Aguirre-Casas family, as they mourn the loss of their loved one.”
Services will be 4 p.m., Feb. 1, at 127 E. Caldwell Ave. in Visalia.
Burial service will be at 10 a.m., Feb. 2, Exeter District Cemetery, 719 E Marinette Ave., Exeter.
