Retired Correctional Officer Oscar Ramirez passed away Feb. 8, 2023.
He began his career with the department at the Basic Correctional Officer Academy in July 1998.
Officer Ramirez reported to Centinela State Prison in August 1998. He remained at the prison until retiring in December 2019.
