Retired Correctional Sergeant William Williams passed away Jan. 21, 2023.
He began his career with the department in June 1984 at California Medical Facility as a correctional officer.
Williams promoted to sergeant in January 1991. He worked at CMF his entire career, retiring in April 2009.
“Sgt. Williams was a highly respected person, a good friend and a well-loved member of the CMF family. Our deepest condolences are extended to the Williams family through this difficult time as the mourn the loss of their loved one,” according to a statement issued by CMF. “He will be greatly missed.”
Services will be held Feb. 15 at 1:30 p.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon.
