Ironwood State Prison reported the unexpected passing of Office Assistant James Bartnik III on Feb. 28, 2023.
While Bartnik was a recent hire, he came from a CDCR family. He began at Ironwood on Feb. 13, 2023, where many of his relatives also are employed.
“Please keep James’ family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time,” according to a statement issued by Ironwood State Prison.
