Jason Porter, a correctional officer at CSP-Sacramento, passed away June 16, 2023.
He began his CDCR career after graduating the academy in January 2007. Porter’s first assignment was CSP-Sacramento, where he remained until his passing.
“He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our deepest condolences are extended to his family and friends during this difficult time,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
Porter was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.
