Beyond the Badge, Community Involvement

SCC recruiters attend Jumping Frog Jubilee

Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) recruiters attended the four-day Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee. For 130 years, the county has celebrated the Jumping Frog Jubilee with dedicated volunteers meeting monthly to organize the annual competition.

SCC recruiters from the Crisis Response Team (CRT), Investigative Services Unit (ISU), and Armory custody staff engaged with the community.

The SCC recruiters collaborated with specialized units to provide a more interactive and hands-on approach with the community.

Highlighting CDCR and SCC in a positive way, the recruiting event was a great success.

“The community engagement was amazing.  Many members of the community did not know SCC offers different types of employment through CDCR, CCHCS and CALPIA. Each group had representation at the fair,” said SCC Lt. R.S. Jauregui.
