CDCR staff got into the community spirit by taking part in the City of Galt’s annual National Night Out. Staff from the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center (CTC) and Northern Transportation Unit took part in the Aug. 1 event held at Galt Community Park.

National Night Out is a nationwide annual community-building campaign designed to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement.

“It was an amazing time coming together to promote safety and unity, while connecting with the Galt community,” said CDCR organizers. “CTC staff had a great time playing games, meeting community members, and answering any questions they had about CDCR.”

Across California, CDCR and CCHCS staff took part in National Night Out events.
