Roxy, a retired CDCR K-9, passed away Sept. 7, 2023.
Roxy graduated from the K-9 Academy in November 2010, assigned to Chuckawalla Valley State Prison (CVSP), partnered with Lt. S. Myrick.
During Roxy’s time with the Investigative Services Unit at CVSP, they are credited with discovering drugs and cell phones.
Roxy was the first K-9 partner at CVSP to remain until her retirement. K-9 Roxy retired on Sept. 30, 2016.
“Our deepest condolences are extended to the Myrick family and friends as they mourn the loss of their loved one,” according to a CVSP statement.
