Raymond Wade, a retired correctional officer, passed away Sept. 18, 2023.
Wade began his career with the department as a cadet at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center in July 1996.
After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy, he reported to San Quentin State Prison.
He transferred to Folsom State Prison in August 2013, where he remained until retiring in August 2020.
“We extend our condolences to the Wade family,” according to a statement issued by Folsom State Prison. “Keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.”
