Ed Rice, a retired stationary engineer, passed away Nov. 23, 2023.
He began his CDCR career at Wasco State Prison in Kern County as a stationary engineer. The year he started was not included in the information supplied by the institutions.
He then transferred to Pelican Bay State Prison in May 2013, where he remained until retiring in February 2022.
“Ed will be remembered for his professionalism, hard work, ethics, and kindness. Our deepest condolences are extended to his family and friends during this difficult time,” according to a statement issued by Pelican Bay State Prison.
