Ethel Anthony, retired health care records supervisor, passed away Nov. 17, 2023.
Anthony, a Bakersfield native, worked for 20 years at the Wasco State Prison-Reception Center before retiring in 2006.
“Ethel was loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew and worked with her throughout the years,” according to a statement issued by the prison.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, James Anthony, who passed away in 2017. She is survived by a son and daughter as well as eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 4 in Bakersfield.
