Correctional Officer Daniel Quilantang passed away Dec. 30, 2023. He began his career with the department as a cadet in November 2008 at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center in Galt.
After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy, he reported for duty to Mule Creek State Prison in February 2009. He remained at the prison until his passing.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Quilantang family during this time of mourning,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
