Brian Morris, a correctional officer at Centinela State Prison, passed away Jan. 3, 2024.
Morris began his career with the department in July 2002 at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center.
After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy, he reported to Centinela State Prison in October 2002.
He remained at the institution for over 21 years until his untimely passing.
“Brian was a hard worker and always full of smiles and laughter no matter what. Anyone who knew him or got to work with him knows he always made you feel welcomed and treated you as a friend, even if you just met,” according to a statement issued by the institution. “Centinela State Prison extends our sincere condolences to Brian’s family and friends.”
