Patricia Saucedo, retiree, passes away

Patricia Saucedo, a retired correctional case records supervisor, passed away Jan. 14, 2024.

She began her CDCR career in December 1991 as an office assistant at Calipatria State Prison.

Three years later, she promoted to office services supervisor.

Then, in October 1995, she promoted to case records analyst. In January 2012, she promoted to correctional case records supervisor.

She remained in the position until retiring in October 2020.

“Calipatria State Prison has lost an outstanding member of its family and extends its deepest condolences to the Saucedo family and friends,” according to a statement issued by the prison.

All services will take place in Brawley. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, Feb. 15, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Frye Chapel & Mortuary, 799 S. Brawley Ave. A Mass will be held Friday, Feb. 16, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1002 K St., while burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, 4700 Hovley Road.
