Mary O’Hearn, a retired business services assistant, passed away Jan. 11, 2024.

She began her state career with California Parks and Recreation in February 1988 as an office assistant. O’Hearn later transferred to Workers Compensation in Stockton as an office technician.
O’Hearn then transferred to Sierra Conservation Center as an office technician and promoted to business services assistant. She retired from Sierra Conservation Center in June 2010.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James O’Hearn, four daughters and 11 grandchildren.
“Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We extend our most sincere condolences to the O’Hearn family, loved ones and friends. At this profound time of mourning, please keep the O’Hearn family in your thoughts and prayers,” according to a statement issued by Sierra Conservation Center.
