Valley State Prison sees 80 graduate

Valley State Prison witnessed 80 graduate educational and vocational programs, marking a celebration of determination and growth.

Principal Wayne Tilley emphasized that this graduation marks a celebration of choices.

“The choices these students made to enhance their lives,” he said.

Valley State Prison graduate achievements:

  • 23 earned their associate degrees
  • 33 secured high school diplomas or GEDs
  • while 24 proudly received Career Technical Education certificates.

The significance of this achievement resonates even beyond the prison walls as the Valley State Prison Media Center live-streamed the event for friends and family to witness the milestone.

“These choices pave the way for new challenges, open doors to fresh prospects, and infuse new hope into their futures,” Tilley said.
