Douglas Jeffery, retired librarian, passes away

Douglas Jeffery, retired senior librarian, passed away April 7, 2024. He worked for the department for 35 years before retiring in 2020.

He began his career with the department at California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi in September 1985. Three years later, he transferred to San Quentin.

He retired from San Quentin Rehabilitation Center in July 2020.

“He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him,” according to a statement issued by San Quentin Rehabilitation Center.
