Ann Lee Wesson-Williams, a retired correctional counselor, passed away April 22, 2024.

Wesson-Williams began her CDCR career at the Basic Correctional Officer Academy in September 1993.
After graduating, she reported to RJ Donovan Correctional Facility in October. She transferred to California Institution for Men two years later. In June 2004, Wesson-Williams promoted to correctional counselor. She remained at the institution until she retired in 2011 with 18 years of service.
“She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and working side by side with her. Our sincerest condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time,” according to a statement issued by California Institution for Men.
A visitation will be held May 14 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Miller-Jones Mortuary and Crematory, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley. Following visitation, there will be a graveside service at 2:15 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Moreno Valley.
