Raymond Perez, chief engineer at Pleasant Valley State Prison, passed away June 12, 2024.

He began his career with the department in June 2008 as a stationary engineer at Pleasant Valley State Prison. He promoted to chief engineer in May 2013 and remained in this position until his passing.
“Raymond will be greatly missed by all who have worked with him. Please keep the Perez family in your thoughts and prayers,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
