Rigoberto “Rigo” Arias, a retired correctional officer, passed away June 6, 2024. Before joining the department in 1980, Arias served in the US Air Force from 1975 until 1979.

His first assignment as a correctional officer was with California Medical Facility. He later transferred to California State Prison, Solano, in the 1980s. He remained at the institution until retiring in 2010.
There will be a viewing at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville on Tuesday, June 18, at 11 a.m.
