Two former CCWF students finish degrees outside

Central California Women’s Facility (CCWF) staff attended the graduation of two formerly incarcerated students who earned their college degrees.

Two students who started their bachelor’s degree with Fresno State University while inside were released before they finished their program.

Even though they had been released from CCWF, the students finished their classes with Fresno State, earning their degrees on the outside. They graduated with the Fresno State Class of 2024 on May 17.

CCWF Principal Wendy Olono and two teachers from CCWF attended the graduation. Family and friends joined the ceremony, celebrating with the students.
