Milton Lynn, retired officer, passes

California State Prison, Los Angeles County, reported the recent passing of Milton Lynn, a retired correctional officer. He worked for the department for 25 years.

Lynn began his career with the department in May 1988 at California Rehabilitation Center in Norco. In August 1993, he transferred to California State Prison, Los Angeles County, in Lancaster, where he remained until retiring in June 2013.

“Milton will be truly missed by all his family and friends at California State Prison, Los Angeles County. Our sincerest condolences are extended to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time,” according to a statement issued by the institution.

Services will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Sept. 7, at Desert View Mortuary in Victorville.
