In late October, RJ Donovan Correctional Facility (RJD) in San Diego hosted their first intramural soccer game.
Capt. Franckowiak, of Facility D, and Capt. Amador, over Facility E, partnered with coaches Torres and Anguiano-Vega to facilitate the friendly competition between the two facilities.
With music and multiple spectators, the winning facility earned bragging rights, displaying the trophy in their program office. Halftime showcased a penalty shoot-out and hacky sack for the rest of the yard, while the two teams rested and hydrated.
As RJD continues the process of converting all facilities to non-designated programming facilities, they look forward to holding more events.
