Daniel Page, a retired correctional captain, passed away March 12, 2025.

He began his correctional career as a cadet at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center in August 1985.
After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy, Page reported to the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. A dozen years later, he promoted to correctional sergeant at Wasco State Prison-Reception Center in September 1997. He worked at Wasco until 2010, when he promoted to captain at Kern Valley State Prison. He remained at Kern Valley until retiring in March 2011.
“Daniel will be greatly missed by all those who knew and worked with him throughout his career,” according to a statement issued by the institution.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., March 20, at Greenlawn Cemetery SW, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield.
