Mary Hall, who worked for the department for 20 years, passed away March 21, 2025.

She began her career with the department in December 1986 as a medical technical assistant at California Medical Facility in Vacaville.
In May 1999, she began working in the psychiatric inpatient program, better known in the department as the PIP. She then promoted to senior medical technical assistant in the PIP in July 2000. She remained in this position until she retired in November 2006.
“Mary was a beloved coworker, mother, wife, and friend,” according to California Medical Facility. “She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Our sincerest condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.”
Funeral services were held April 11.
