Brian Eason, a retired correction officer, passed away July 11, 2025. He worked for CDCR for over 30 years, retiring in 2024.

Eason began his CDCR career as a cadet at the Basic Correctional Officer Academy in 1993. After graduating, he reported to Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown in July 1993.
Eason transferred to California Health Care Facility in Stockton in June 2016 where he remained until retiring in March 2024.
“Our sincerest condolences are with his family and friends during this difficult time. Brian will be missed tremendously by all who knew him. He was a great friend and partner,” according to the institution.
Services will be held Monday, Aug. 4, with a viewing from 10 a.m. to noon at Thompson Funeral Home, 3601 5th Ave., Sacramento. Burial will immediately follow.
