Juan Perez, an assistant correctional food manager at Ironwood State Prison, passed away Nov. 17, 2025.

He began his career with the department as a correctional supervising cook at Ironwood State Prison in February 2007.
He promoted to supervising correctional cook in August 2015 and promoted again to his current position in January 2025. Perez remained in this position at Ironwood State Prison until his untimely passing.
“Juan was very loved by all who knew him and will be missed. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family during this difficult time,” according to Ironwood State Prison.
