California State Prison (CSP) Solano staff were seeing gold last week thanks to golden retriever therapy dogs.
The dogs, part of Good as Goldens dog-training program, stopped by to celebrate and uplift CSP-Solano’s dedicated staff during Thanksgiving week.
The dogs and their trainers/handlers also stopped by Delancey Street at the institution, visiting the incarcerated people learning job skills through the program. (Learn more about Delancey Street in this 2024 video).
From wagging tails to warm snuggles, the dogs brought smiles, stress relief, and a reminder of just how important compassion and connection are in the work our staff do every day.
