Teresa Silva, retired Materials & Stores Supervisor II

Teresa Silva, retired Materials & Stores Supervisor II, passed away Jan. 14, 2026. She worked for the department for over 27 years.

She began her career with the department in January 1998 as an office technician at Pleasant Valley State Prison (PVSP).

Silva later promoted to personnel specialist in February 2011 on a limited term. She then promoted to materials and stores supervisor in April 2014.

In July 2020, she promoted to materials and stores supervisor II. She remained in this position until officially retiring in December 2025.

“She was a treasured employee and friend to many at PVSP,” according to the institution. “She will be greatly missed by her friends and co-workers.”

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Jan. 30, at People’s Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty St., in Hanford.
