Robert Martin, a retired correctional officer, has passed away, announced California State Prison, Los Angeles County. Their Feb. 12, 2026, announcement did not include a date of passing.

Martin began his career with the department in March 2003 as a cadet. After graduating the Basic Correctional Officer Academy, he reported to California State Prison, Los Angeles County, in Lancaster. He remained at the institution until retiring in July 2018.
“We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to Robert’s family, loved ones, and friends during this difficult time,” according to the institution.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 21, at Agape Community Church, 1722 E. Lancaster Blvd. in Lancaster.
