Sibichan Varghese, a clinical social worker at Wasco State Prison-Reception Center (WSP-RC), passed away May 14, 2026.
Varghese began his CDCR career as a licensed clinical social worker for the Parole and Community Services Division in August 2009.
In June 2014, he began working at WSP-RC as a licensed clinical social worker where he remained until his passing.
“Mr. Varghese will be greatly missed by all those who knew and worked with him throughout his career, and during his time at WSP-RC. Our prayers and condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues during these difficult times,” the institution wrote.
