Madelynn McClain, Deputy Director, Office of Fiscal Services
Deputy Director McClain is a true example of exceptional leadership. She continuously demonstrates support and investment in her teams, providing training, coaching, mentoring and other opportunities. In addition to supporting her team professionally, she is also known for morale-boosting events, resulting in increased creativity and productivity.
With the volume of fiscal proposals increasing each year, Deputy Director McClain engages with nearly every division to assist with mentoring, training, and developing solutions. She takes time to understand the needs of the customers, the institutions and programs learning about them. Deputy Director McClain is a natural at bringing various programs together, addressing complex matters and developing action plans. She works tirelessly to identify solutions to benefit CDCR as a whole.
Deputy Director McClain brings prestige and honor to CDCR with recognition of the quality of our fiscal requests, preparedness and interaction and hearings with the Legislature, Department of Finance, and other stakeholders. She is quick on her feet and demonstrates time and time again her understanding of our large and complex department.
