Man Walks Away from Fenner Canyon Camp

VALYERMO – California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) officials are searching for a minimum-security inmate who walked away last night from Fenner Canyon Conservation Camp in Los Angeles County.

Inmate Louie Aguilar was last seen at the camp by staff at 9:18 p.m. on July 20 in the camp during a count. An inmate was noticed missing in a count at 9:55 p.m. It was determined that Aguilar was the missing inmate at 10:00 p.m.

CDCR’s Office of Correctional Safety, CAL FIRE, law enforcement personnel, along with local law enforcement agencies and the California Highway Patrol were notified and are assisting in the search for Aguilar.

Aguilar, 39, is a Hispanic male, 5’ 10” tall, weighing 198 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He was received by CDCR from Los Angeles County in September 2018 with a six-year sentence for second-degree robbery, second strike, with a one-year enhancement for personal use of a weapon.
