Chamberlain Creek Conservation Camp walkaway apprehended

FORT BRAGG – Special Agents from Office of Correctional Safety (OCS) and Special Services Unit (SSU) apprehended a minimum-security inmate who walked away from the California Correctional Center (CCC) Chamberlain Creek Conservation Camp (CC #17), in Mendocino County on September 13, 2019.

On September 16, 2019, at approximately 1735 hours, Inmate Jonathan Washington was taken into custody by OCS and SSU agents, in Vallejo, California.

Washington will be transported to the California Correctional Center in Susanville, and will no longer be eligible to be housed in a Conservation Camp.

He was committed to CDCR on December 28, 2018, from Kings County to serve a 3 year 8 month term for vandalism and corporal injury on a specific persons resulting in traumatic condition. He was scheduled to parole in March 2020.

Since 1977, 99 percent of all offenders who have left an adult institution, camp or community-based program without permission have been apprehended.
