UPDATE: Effective April 22, 2026, Facility B has been placed on a modified program. As a result of the modified program, visitation for Facility B will be cancelled until further notice. Visitation for all other facilities will be open as scheduled.

Access to Institution Affected
CDCR urges those traveling to our institutions to plan ahead for a safe trip. Before heading to an institution for an in-person visit, download the QuickMap app or visit https://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/ for up-to-the-minute information on road conditions, traffic, closures, chain control, and more. If an institution must cancel visiting due to conditions such as weather, those with an appointment will receive a notice through the Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA). If you plan on participating in a walk-in visit, please contact the institution beforehand.
Visitation Information
VISITATION HOURS:
Friday: 12:30 pm – 6:30 pm. Visitors arriving after 5:00 pm will NOT be processed.
Saturday/Sunday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Visitors arriving after 1:30 pm will NOT be processed.
HOW TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR VISITATION:
All requests to schedule an appointment for visitation shall be done via the Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA) at https://cdcr.gtlvisitme.com/app. CSP-LAC does not accept requests to schedule appointments via telephone or email. Note: The visitor whose name is on the appointment is the appointment holder. If the appointment holder is not present, the appointment will not be honored.
FRIDAY APPOINTMENTS:
12:00pm Visitors can line up outside the Visitor Processing Center. Visitors with appointments will be processed upon their arrival and will be afforded a fifteen-minute grace period to arrive. Appointments will not be honored if the visitor arrives after the fifteen-minute grace period.
FRIDAY WALK-INS:
12:00pm Visitors can line up outside the Visitor Processing Center. Visitors without appointments will be issued a Walk-In Visitor Pass. Once the Walk-In Visitor Pass is collected by staff, visitors will be instructed to wait in the Friends Outside Visiting building located in the Visitor Parking lot for further instruction.
SATURDAY/SUNDAY APPOINTMENTS:
08:30am Visitors can line up outside the Visitor Processing Center. Visitors with appointments will be processed upon their arrival and will be afforded a fifteen-minute grace period to arrive. Appointments will not be honored if the visitor arrives after the fifteen-minute grace period.
SATURDAY/SUNDAY WALK-INS:
08:30am Visitors can line up outside the Visitor Processing Center. Visitors without appointments will be issued a Walk-In Visitor Pass. Once the Walk-In Visitor Pass is collected by staff, visitors will be instructed to wait in the Friends Outside Visiting building located in the Visitor Parking lot for further instruction.
Walk-in Visitors are not guaranteed a visit and maybe subject to extended wait times. Walk-in visits are subject to visiting room availability. Note: Visitation with Incarcerated Persons on Non-Contact Status are available by appointment only.
For Contact Visits, up to five (5) visitors may attend a contact visit per Incarcerated Person.
For Non-Contact Visits, up to three (3) visitors may attend a non-contact visit per Incarcerated Person.
Visiting Attire
There are restrictions on what you may wear to a CDCR Institution. Appropriate attire includes undergarments; a dress or blouse/shirt with skirt/pants/ or shorts; and shoes or sandals. In order to prevent your visit from being delayed, please ensure that you adhere to the attire restrictions. Prohibited attire consists of, but is no limited to, the following:
1. Attire which, in any combination of shades or types of material, resembles state issued Incarcerated Persons’ attire (e.g., blue denim or chambray shirt and blue denim pants, grey sweat shirts, grey sweat suits). Any White or Grey shirts must have a large logo on the front.
2. Law-Enforcement, military-type, or camouflage-patterned articles of clothing.
Note: Visitors who are active or reserve members of the United States Military shall be allowed to visit while wearing uniforms. Visitors shall present their valid Armed Forces identification card to confirm their military status prior to entry.
3. Uniforms worn by medical professionals (Doctor’s Jackets, Doctor’s Gowns, Medical Scrubs, etc.).
4. Attire which, by design, manner worn, or due to the absence of, allows the anatomical detail of body parts or midriff to be clearly viewed. This includes:
- Attire that exposes shoulders or midriff (strapless tops, halter tops, bare midriff, etc.)
- Attire that exposes the breast/chest area, genitals, or buttocks.
- Attire that is sheer, transparent, or excessively tight fitted (spandex pants, leggings, etc.)
- Skirts, dresses, or shorts that expose more than two inches above the knee, front and back, when standing. This includes slits in the garment.
5. Attire or accessories displaying obscene/offensive language, drawings, or objects.
6. Shoes must have a solid sole. No shower shoes or bedroom slippers.
7. No hats or gloves, except with prior approval or in inclement weather. No logos are permitted on these items.
8. No wigs, hairpieces, extensions, or other headpieces except for medical reasons and with prior approval.
9. Do not wear any items that cannot be removed and will not clear a metal detector (such as an underwire brassiere or clothing with metal buttons).
10. Bandanas are not permitted.
Any visitor attempting to attend a visit at CSP-LAC will be required to adhere to the attire restrictions. Visitors not adhering to these guidelines will be required to change into appropriate attire prior to being admitted entry.
Overnight Family Visiting
If you have been scheduled for an Overnight Family Visit, utilize https://pk-cdcr-lac.com to order fresh food items for your visit. Orders must be submitted two weeks prior to your Overnight Family Visit. A certified copy of all Certificate’s (Marriage, Birth, and Domestic Partnership) must be provided at the time of appointment. No photocopies of these documents will be accepted.
Overnight Family Visiting Visitors may arrive to the Visiting Processing Center between the hours of 9:00am to 11:00am for check-in on the day of their scheduled Overnight Family Visit.
Visitors can bring the following items for their Overnight Family Visiting appointments:
- One bag of clothing per visitor; no suitcases, duffle bags or backpacks are permitted
- Clothing shall be in paper, plastic, or fabric bags
- One light-weight robe
- One pair of slippers or shower shoes
- One set of extra linen, two pillowcases, one blanket, and two mattress covers
- One set of towels (one hand towel, one face towel, one bath towel)
- One disposable bathmat and one disposable shower curtain (no metal rings)
- One plain sponge without green scrubber backing
- One unopened travel-size packet of disposable feminine wipes
- One unopened travel-size packet of disposable make-up remover wipes
- One unopened packet of 20 disposable hand-wipes for cleaning
- One unopened small clear liquid body wash
- One unopened small clear liquid dish soap
- One unopened small clear antibacterial hand soap
- One unopened travel-size clear hair gel
- One unopened small, clear, water-based lubricant without additives
Infant/Toddler items for Overnight Family Visits:
- One transparent diaper bag
- One package of diapers/diaper cream
- Six non-glass containers of baby food or snacks in sealed packaging for each day
- Any combination of the following: fourteen factory-sealed single serving size, ready to feed bottle of baby formula or four transparent plastic battle bottles, either empty or containing pre-mixed formula/milk/juice/water for each day
- Two factory-sealed, single serving size packets of powdered baby formula for each day
- Three changes of clothes for each day of the visit
- Two single-layer baby blankets
- Two pacifiers
- One sealed package of baby wipes
- Two plastic baby feeding spoons
- Three single-layer burp cloths
- One infant carrier or wrap
- Two gallons of factory-sealed distilled water
