California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison at Corcoran offers 3-Day In-Person visits Friday through Sunday.

Access to Institution Affected

CDCR urges those traveling to our institutions to plan ahead for a safe trip.
Before heading to an institution for an in-person visit, download the Quick Map app or visit https://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/  for up-to-the-minute information on road conditions, traffic, closures, chain control, and more.
If an institution must cancel visiting due to conditions such as weather, those with an appointment will receive a notice through the Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA). If you plan on participating in a walk-in visit, please contact the institution beforehand.

Minor Visitation

Visiting With a Minor (17 Years or Younger): As a reminder, a certified copy of each minor’s birth certificate must be brought with an adult visitor accompanying the minor at all times, regardless of whether the child has previously visited at CSATF. Visitors with an accompanying minor will only be permitted in if they have the minors birth certificate.

If the minor child is being accompanied by an adult that is NOT their legal parent or guardian, you MUST bring a certified copy of the minor’s birth certificate AND a notarized Minor Consent Form. In-Person Visitation

Friday: 12:00 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. 

Sunday: 8:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. 

Walk-in Visitation Instructions

Friday: 3:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. 

Saturday: 11:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. 

Sunday: 11:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. 

NOTE: Those housed in Short-Term Restricted Housing are not eligible for walk-in visits.  

Visitor Processing concludes on Fridays at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

*Visitors may arrive 30 minutes prior to and up to 30 minutes after their scheduled appointment start time (Excluding the Restricted Housing Unit (RHU) who must arrive before there scheduled appointment time).

FORMS OF ACCEPTABLE IDENTIFICATION

If you have an expired driver’s license the paper renewal form will not be accepted. You must have a valid physical driver’s license in hand or another acceptable form of identification listed per policy.

All adults must present identification when being processed to visit. Acceptable forms of identification must be valid and current (not expired) and include:

  • A valid driver’s license (from any state) with photo;
  • A Department of Motor Vehicle identification card (from any state) with photo;
  • An armed forces identification card with photo;
  • A United States Department of Justice Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) identification card;
  • A United States passport with photo or a foreign passport with photo; or
  • A photo identification issued by the Mexican Consulate
