Pertinent family visiting information

UPDATES AFFECTING FAMILY VISITING:

Saturday May 9, 2026, Regular Visiting will be closed off for Appointments and Walk ins due to our annual Get On The Bus event. All appointments scheduled for May 9th will be canceled. Regular visiting hours will resume Sunday May 10, 2026.

CCWF CURRENTLY UTILIZES INSTACART FOR FAMILY VISITING FOOD PURCHASES, PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE ORDERING FROM MULTIPLE STORES, CHOOSE A DELIVERY WINDOW SEPERATELY FOR EACH STORE.

Incarcerated persons and Visitors scheduled for a Family Visit shall utilize Instacart grocery delivery services to purchase all food for their Family Visit. The following items will be prohibited for purchase; alcohol, non-alcoholic spirits, tobacco/tobacco products, non-food items, and food items in glass containers, energy drinks and chewing gum.

To ensure there are no delays, visitors shall have their groceries ordered and delivered via Instacart, 24 hours in advance (the day before) of their scheduled family visit between the hours of 10am and 2pm.

When ordering your groceries please ensure you note your loved one’s name, CDC number, and housing. Ensure your delivery driver drops your groceries off at “Central California Women’s Facility Visitor Processing Building” and the following address: 23370 Road 22 Chowchilla, CA 93610-8504.

Once your order has been processed and confirmed, you shall provide confirmation to include a list of items purchased to CCWF Visiting Office no later than 3 days prior to the scheduled visit at the following email address: CCWFVideoVisiting@cdcr.ca.gov. Failure to provide the confirmation information will result in the cancelation of the schedule family visit.

If a visit is cancelled for any reason and cannot be rescheduled the incarcerated person may choose one (1) of the following (2) options for the disposition of the ordered Family Visit food items:
• Send home at their expense
• Have it destroyed

*Central California Women’s Facility is not liable for Instacart order errors, damaged or missing items. All disputes with orders will need to be filed by the account holder directly with Instacart.

***Orders delivered outside of the listed time frames may result in rescheduling of your Family Visit.

Access to Institution Affected

CDCR urges those traveling to our institutions to plan ahead for a safe trip. Before heading to an institution for an in-person visit, download the QuickMap app or visit https://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/  for up-to-the-minute information on road conditions, traffic, closures, chain control, and more. If an institution must cancel visiting due to conditions such as weather, those with an appointment will receive a notice through the Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA). If you plan on participating in a walk-in visit, please contact the institution beforehand.

Visitation Information

Inmates housed in quarantine/outbreak units will be eligible to program if they consent to Point of Contact COVID-19 test and cleared by the Chief of Medical.

Visitors will NOT be processed after 4:30PM on Friday, 1:30PM on Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday Please visit https://cdcr.gtlvisitme.com/app to schedule a visit.

In-person, visiting is on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Friday visiting the schedule is open from (Thursday 0600 am -Sunday 1159 pm).

Saturday visiting the schedule is open from (Friday 0600-Tuesday 1159pm).

Sunday visiting the schedule is open from (Saturday 0600-Wednesday 1159pm).

Visitors/Loved ones arriving for in-person visiting may arrive on Institutional grounds 30 mins prior to the processing time. (Friday 12pm, Saturday 9am and Sunday 9am). 

Minor Visitation

Visiting With a Minor (17 Years or Younger): As a reminder, a certified copy of each minor’s birth certificate must be brought with an adult visitor accompanying the minor at all times, regardless of whether the child has previously visited CCWF. Visitors with an accompanying minor will only be permitted in if they have the minors birth certificate.

If the minor child is being accompanied by an adult that is NOT their legal parent or guardian, you MUST bring a certified copy of the minor’s birth certificate AND a notarized Minor Consent Form. In-Person Visitation

Friday: 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. 

Saturday: 09:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Sunday: 09:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

All Non-Contact Visits are 1 hour in length.
