Correctional Training Facility (CTF)

In-Person Visitation Status:

OPEN

ATTENTION: On Friday, June 26, 2026, Visiting will be closed Statewide for the annual CDCR Visiting Staff training. No visits will be held this day. Regular visiting hours will resume Saturday June 27, 2026.

Correctional Training Facility (CTF) will be closed for regular In-Person Visiting on Saturday June 13, 2026, for the GOTB Event. Regular Visiting will resume on Sunday June 14, 2026.

NON-CONTACT VISITING INFORMATION:

Appointments can now be made for Incarcerated Persons (IP) housed in Restricted Housing Unit (RHU); appointments shall be scheduled in one-hour increments. All non-contact visits will be scheduled through VSA to ensure the visit takes place.

Correctional Training Facility (CTF) is currently OPEN for In-Person Visiting.

You must schedule utilizing the (VSA) at https://cdcr.gtlvisitme.com/app scheduling application. Requests sent via email will not be reviewed. The request period begins eight days before the visitation day and closes five days before the visitation day.

CDCR urges those traveling to our institutions to plan ahead for a safe trip. Before heading to an institution for an in-person visit, download the QuickMap app or visit https://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/ for up-to-the-minute information on road conditions, traffic, closures, chain control, and more.
If an institution must cancel visiting due to conditions such as weather, those with an appointment will receive a notice through the Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA). If you plan on participating in a walk-in visit, please contact the institution beforehand.

GET ON THE BUS (GOTB) EVENT

Get On The Bus (GOTB) is an annual trip bringing children (minors and adults) and their guardians/caregivers from all over the state of California to visit their parent in prison. Transportation, photos, Lunch and Fun Activities are all provided for parents and children for FREE! Children will receive a teddy bear after their visit.

Friendly reminder, for non-contact appointments, visitors must arrive one (1) hour prior to the scheduled appointment. Dress conservatively and modestly, no excessively tight/form fitting clothing.

Visitation Information

Facility A/B Visitors will be picked up at the covered area right next to the visitor’s parking lot. The Officer driving the bus will pick up visitors every 30 minutes, at the 15 and 45 marks. Facility C visitors can wait there as well or proceed to the Facility C Entrance.

IN-PERSON VISITING:

This week’s scheduling for In-Person Visiting on June 12, June 14, will be for Facility A, Facility B, and Facility C.

ATTIRE RESTRICTIONS

The following are some attire restrictions on what you may wear to a CDCR Institution.

1. Clothing that resembles state-issued clothing that an incarcerated person wears to visiting (examples: blue denim or blue chambray shirts and blue denim pants, reception center attire).

2. Clothing that resembles law enforcement or military-type clothing, including raingear, when not legitimately worn by an individual on active duty or in an official capacity.

3. Dress conservatively and modestly; and

4. Do not wear any item that cannot be taken off and will not clear a metal detector (such as an underwire bra). The following are specific restrictions:

  • No strapless, halter, bare midriff, sheer, or transparent clothing;
  • No skirts, dresses, or shorts that expose more than two inches above the knee;
  • No clothing that exposes the breast, genitalia, or buttocks area;
  • No very tight, form-fitting attire; No spandex material (i.e., leggings, yoga pants, biker shorts, body-con dresses)
  • No wigs, or other headpieces except for medical reasons and with prior approval;
  • No hats or gloves, except with prior approval or in inclement weather; and
  • No shower shoes.


  • *Per Title 15 Section 3173.2 Searches and Inspections-Processing may require the removal of shoes, jackets, sweaters, suspenders, belts, piercings, jewelry, or other accessories for closer inspection or separate processing.

FAMILY VISITING (OVERNIGHT):

This week scheduling for Family Visiting will be for applications received for Facility C (Central) dated April 14th. The scheduling is for Facility C (Central) and the dates being offered are Wednesday July 8th and Saturday July 11th.

Visitors are not permitted on institutional grounds before 0830 am. Visitors must arrive at the Central Visiting Parking Lot between 0830 am and no later than 11:00 am on the day of the scheduled visit.

Weekday Visits: Process IN Wednesday – Process OUT Saturday.

Weekend Visits: Process IN Saturday – Process OUT Tuesday.

Friday: 12:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. 

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 

Sunday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 

Walk-in Visitation Instructions

Friday: 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. 

Saturday: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. 

Sunday: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

**As a reminder, a certified copy of each minor’s birth certificate must be brought with an adult visitor accompanying a minor (18 years or younger) at all times, regardless of whether the child has previously visited CTF. Visitors will only be permitted in if they have a birth certificate. **

Walk-In Visits are accepted based on space availability and processed on a first come first serve basis. Walk-Ins will not be accepted if overcapacity, only scheduled visitors are guaranteed entry.
