Applying to Visit
When submitting a CDC 106 Visiting Questionnaire, the revision date has to be 05/17 or the questionnaire will be rejected and returned to the visitor. The revision date is in the top left corner of the front of the questionnaire. Anything older or newer than 05/17 will not be accepted. See below for more application submission information.
Access to Institution Affected
CDCR urges those traveling to our institutions to plan ahead for a safe trip. Before heading to an institution for an in-person visit, download the QuickMap app or visit https://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/ for up-to-the-minute information on road conditions, traffic, closures, chain control, and more.
If an institution must cancel visiting due to conditions such as weather, those with an appointment will receive a notice through the Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA). If you plan on participating in a walk-in visit, please contact the institution beforehand.

PARKING
All visitors are to park in the lower parking lot of the facility that is marked “VISITOR PARKING”
In-Person Visitation
Friday: 12:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. No visitor processing after 530pm.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. No visitor processing after 2pm.
Sunday 8:30am – 3:00pm. No visitor processing after 2pm.
Please visit https://cdcr.gtlvisitme.com/app to schedule an in-person visit. VSA is the only way to schedule a contact visit; phone calls and emails are not accepted. In person visiting is on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The scheduling window for all desired visiting dates opens 8 days prior to the desired visit date, at 6:00am. The scheduling window is as follows: Friday visits (scheduling window opens the previous Thursday at 6:00am, and closes the previous Sunday at 11:59pm), Saturday visits (scheduling window opens the previous Friday at 6:00 am and closes the previous Tuesday at 11:59 pm), and Sunday visits (scheduling window opens the previous Saturday at 6:00 am and closes the previous Wednesday 11:59 pm).
Walk-in visiting is allowed during regular visiting hours, space permitting.
non contact/Restricted housing visit scheduling
All non-contact or Administrative Segregation visits must be scheduled by calling 209-274-4911, x5410 Monday thru Thursday 8am to 12 noon or by emailing your request to MCSPvideovisiting@cdcr.ca.gov Emails will be accepted during the same hours phone calls are allowed. Scheduling is only done in the week that you want the weekend appointment. Please include with the email the inmate’s full name and CDCR #, approved visitors full name(s), date of birth of approved visitors, valid ID type and number of visitors (3 total only); relationship to the incarcerated person, email address of visitor, phone number of visitors, appointment date and time wanted. Appointments are one hour long. Appointment times on Friday are 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm; Saturday and Sunday are 9am, 10am, 11am, 12 noon & 1pm. Walk in non-contact visits are not allowed. Please put “Non-Contact Visit Request” in the subject line of the email. Visiting will send you a confirmation email with your appointment days and times; it may take a day or two to get an email confirmation. Please do not send in an email request and then call also for appointments.
Visitors will not be allowed on prison grounds earlier than one hour before the start of Visitor Processing.
Attire Restrictions

Some allowable visitor attire and items:
- One pair of eyeglasses.
- One handkerchief or a small unopened package of tissues (no bandanas).
- Plain white t-shirts and dress shirts.
- Two keys on a ring with no other attachments (one key may be an electronic car key).
- Clothing with sports team logos, without personalization.
- One form of identification only.
- Indian medicine bag upon inspection and approval
- Dresses worn no more than two inches above the knee (front and back)
- One comb and/or hairbrush (non-metallic, no pointed ends or detachable parts)
- Orange tops and bottoms, as long as not worn together
- One-hundred dollars per adult visitor and fifty dollars per minor visitor (quarters, one-dollar bills and five-dollar bills only)
- One transparent coin purse, maximum of two compartments and size of 6×8 inches
- Leggings, as long as the top article (top or dress) covers the lower anatomical body features and are not sheer or transparent
If an officer tells you that your clothing is unacceptable, but you feel that you have complied with the rules and your clothing is acceptable, you may ask to speak with the Visiting Sergeant or Lieutenant, who will make the decision about your clothing.

Do not put any inmate information on the envelope. Make sure to write on the envelope “Visiting form inside.” Do not send the visiting questionnaire to the inmate as it will not be accepted.
If you are visiting from outside the United States, please make sure to attach a copy of your valid passport to your visiting questionnaire. If the passport copy is not attached to the questionnaire, the questionnaire will be returned to the visitor.
Video Visitation
There is no more video visiting on Sundays. Inmates can still video visit through their tablets.
