IN PERSON VISITING
Pelican Bay State Prison is open for In Person Visiting on Facility A, B, D, RHU and Level I (MSF) facilities.

FAMILY VISITING
Beginning April 1st Family Visiting hours will be changed to:
Tuesday-Thursday 9:00 am-9:00am
Friday-Sunday 9:00 am-9:00am
PBSP will implement WALMART DELIVERY BEGINNING APRIL 1ST. All information and instructions will be sent to the IP when scheduling Family Visits.
DOCUMENT SCANS (AB134)
With the scanning of documents now live as of 10/01/2024 (AB134), we are now able to scan your visiting documents, however due to power outages and planned/unplanned SOMS outages, you are encouraged to keep your documents with you in the event of a power/SOMS outage, so we are able to facilitate your visit. In the event of a power/SOMS outage and you do not have your documents you will not be allowed to visit. Examples of visiting documents are: Birth Certificate, Dr.’s note, and Notarized Minor Consent Form.
Donations
Interested in making a donation to visiting? Talk to Visitor Processing staff about eligible items you can donate. An authorization form will need to be completed, of all items donated, for approval through our Community Resource Manager.

If an institution must cancel visiting due to conditions such as weather, those with an appointment will receive a notice through the Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA). If you plan on participating in a walk-in visit, please contact the institution beforehand.

In Person scheduling is conducted through VSA from Thursday at 6 a.m. thru Sunday at 6 a.m. Visits are first come first served. Walk in visits available for A, B, D, Minimum Support Facility GP housing units only.
ATTIRE RESTRICTIONS
Visitors attire restriction are as follows:
Prohibited Attire: Consists of but is not limited to the following:
- Clothing that resembles state-issued clothing worn by the incarcerated population (blue denim or blue chambray shirts and blue denim pants).
- Clothing or garments that:
* Expose the breast/chest area, genitals, or buttocks. Or by design, the manner worn, or due to the absence of, excessively allows the anatomical detail fo body parts or midriff to be clearly viewed.
* Are sheer, transparent, or excessively tight.
* Espose more than two inches above the knee, including slits when standing. - Strapless or spaghetti strap tops.
- Shower shoes and house slippers.
- Sleeveless dresses or tops that expose undergarments.
- Clothing or accessories displaying obscene or offensive language, drawings, or objects

RHU
Visits must be scheduled. RHU is not eligible for walk in visits.

Visitors without an appointment are allowed to walk-in between the hours listed below.
Friday: 2:30pm – 5:45pm.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.
