Cal Voices’ Advancing Client and Community Empowerment through Sustainable Solutions (ACCESS) California program is administering a survey to seek input for priority research to support a shift in the paradigm between criminal justice and behavioral health. ACCESS is funded by the California Mental Health Services Act and CCJBH and focuses on statewide mental health advocacy, public policy, education, and outreach programs to equip stakeholders with the education/resources necessary to take action in their local community to build lasting positive change.

The survey aims to gain input on the experiences of the following stakeholder groups:

  • Individuals with lived experience of mental health/behavioral health and criminal justice involvement.
  • Family members of individuals with lived experience.
  • Local system partners and providers.
  • State agencies.

The ACCESS Stakeholder and Leadership Survey will be open for submission until late February 2022.
