The Mental Health Oversight and Accountability Commission (MHSOAC) has issued a Request for Application for the expansion of Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) units. The Commission will award six grants to licensed California hospitals that currently operate as acute care emergency departments to help build strategies to reduce unnecessary Emergency Department utilization and hospitals.
Applications are due February 17, 2023, by 3:00 PM.
