Organizers said the Avenal State Prison softball tournament was a success, raising money to benefit hospitalized sick children.

“Valley Children’s Hospital would like to thank the Badge of Brothers for hosting Avenal State Prison’s annual staff softball tournament and collecting new toys for our patients to enjoy. We appreciate the generosity of their team and for putting smiles on our patients’ faces. Thank you to all those that participated this year to help make this tournament a success,” hospital representatives wrote.
