Vickie Long
Central California Women’s Facility recently reported the passing of Correctional Food Services Manager Vickie Long.
She started her CDCR career in November 1997 as a Correctional Supervising Cook. In October 2004, she promoted to Supervising Correctional Cook.
In June 2015, she promoted to Assistant Food Manager. In August 2019, she promoted to Correctional Food Manager I.
Jacquelyne HuTSon
Chuckawalla Valley State Prison reported the passing of retired Accounting Technician Jacquelyne Hutson on Sept. 5, 2019.
She began her CDCR career at Chuckawalla Valley State Prison in December 1989 as an Assistant Clerk.
In July 1990, she promoted to Office Assistant and promoted in March 1991 to Accounting Clerk II.
In March 1994, she promoted to Accounting Technician, where she remained until her retirement in December 2003.
Curtis C. Carney
Chuckawalla Valley State Prison reported the passing of retired Correctional Sgt. Curtis C. Carney on Sept. 7, 2019.
He began his CDCR career at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center in January 1994. He began working as a Correctional Officer at Chuckawalla Valley State Prison in February 1994.
In September 1990, he promoted to Correctional Sergeant, where he remained until his retirement in July 2015.
Donald ‘Don’ Mandell
California State Prison, Sacramento, reported the passing of retired Correctional Officer Donald “Don” Mandell on Aug. 4, 2019.
He began his CDCR career in July 1990 at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center.
Upon graduation, he reported to the Correctional Training Facility in October 1990.
He transferred to California State Prison, Sacramento, in December 1995, where he remained until he retired in May 2013.
Juan Jimenez
The California Correctional Center reported the passing of retired Correctional Officer Juan Jimenez on Sept. 30, 2019.
He began his CDCR career in July 1987 at the Richard A. McGee Correctional Training Center.
After graduation, he was assigned to the California Correctional Center where he remained until he retired in March 2017.
Joe Henderson
The California Correctional Center reported the passing of retired Correctional Sgt. Joe Henderson on Sept. 15, 2019.
He began his CDCR career in July 1974 as a Correctional Program Supervisor II.
He was reclassified as a Sergeant in December 1982. He retired in January 1992.
