On Aug. 12, California Institution for Men Warden Mona D. Houston and the Administration hosted a staff appreciation day. Food trucks were on grounds with management and supervisors delivering food to work areas.

Members of the executive team delivered meals to staff on all three watches. Three food trucks provided a variety of options including burritos, tacos, hamburgers and hot dogs. All custody staff areas were also provided a large tub of ground coffee.

The day concluded with ice cream delivered by Warden Houston. She personally offered staff a frozen treat at their post.

Every staff member had the opportunity to win approximately 300 prizes.

The Warden pulled names for smart televisions, tablets, laptops, home camera security kits and many other items. The Administration spent Aug. 12 as a day to appreciate all staff at CIM and everything they contribute to the institution’s success.
