Parole agents use video meetings for reentry

Video meetings are allowing parole agents to help their clients navigate reentry.

To minimize social contact and avoid the spread of COVID-19, the Northern Region Adult Program Unit (APU) began holding Peer Reentry Navigation Network (PRNN) video meetings.

Northern Region APU Parole Agents, along with unit supervisors, parole unit staff, and lifers began holding video meetings in June 2020. These meetings are being conducted monthly at a date and time meeting the operational needs of the parole unit.

The PRNN Zoom meetings have been held throughout the Northern California parole districts including Central, Central Coast, East Bay, Sierra, South Bay, Southern, and West Bay.

The PRNN meetings are offered to continue addressing the risks and needs of lifers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The meetings are limited to relevant topics and feature presentations from community service providers or are open for group discussions.
